The ICRC is an independent, neutral organization ensuring humanitarian protection and assistance for victims of armed conflict and other situations of violence. It takes action in response to emergencies and at the same time promotes respect for international humanitarian law and its implementation in national law.
ICRC is looking for a motivated and committed candidate who will bring creative and different ideas, dedication and energy to join our team in Ramallah Office.
Position :ICT Specialist 2
Contract duration : One year – renewable
Probationary period : 3 months
Occupation rate : 100%
Starting Date : As soon as possible
Responsibilities:
- Independently installs, maintains, repairs and monitors ICT equipment in line with ICRC standards.
- As a part of global support services handles Level 2 tickets or escalates as per agreed workflow.
- Ensures ICT inventory is updated regularly and maintains adequate stocks levels.
- Ensures existing ICT infrastructure is functional.
- Ensures that global/country-level policies and procedures are implemented and followed.
- Briefs, advises and trains end-users on the ICRC's ICT systems.
- Maintains ICT stock and inventory, carries out regular physical checks.
- Drafts and updates technical documentation for all IT equipment.
- Assists in projects design and implementation.

Post requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in IT, electronics, computer science or similar field.
- Good command (spoken and written) of Arabic and English. French is an asset.
Experience required
- 3–4 years' troubleshooting experience in an area of the ICT service catalogue (e.g. workplace services, telecommunications, IT, help desk, etc.).
- Good business analysts’ skills and good understanding on Software Development.
- Problem’s solutions oriented.
- Microsoft Active Directory (GPO, DFS, groups management…), Microsoft Windows 10, Office 365 and associated Microsoft cloud services
- Skype for Business, MS Teams, and Teleconferencing tools environment.
- Good understanding on connectivity’s types & SLA’s.
- Knowledge of VSAT systems, microwave links, radio communication and wireless applications.
- Ability to provide IT support services including IT hardware/infrastructure support.
- Excellent communications skills and teamworking spirit.
- Valid driving license (Manual)
