3K Energy Solutions : Electrical/Solar Design Engineer

3K is a leading renewable energy engineering, procurement, and construction company based in Ramallah, Palestine. We are looking to hire a full-time design engineer to provide office and site engineering support to our team.

Main Duties

  • Design solar PV systems, including but not limited to:
    • Layout drawings
    • SLDs
    • Electrical panel designs
    • Cable sizing calculations
    • Grounding system design
    • Mounting structure drawings
    • PVSyst simulations
  • Monitor solar PV systems
    • Daily monitoring of systems under operation contracts
    • Analyze plant data
    • Availability & performance ratio calculation
    • Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reports as needed
  • Attend site visits to gather project data
    • Dimensions/layouts
    • Electrical data
  • Provide office engineering support to construction teams
    • Prepare project BOQs
    • Progress reports
    • As built drawings
  • Any other duties assigned by supervisors

متطلبات الوظيفة

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

Valid driver’s license

Highly proficient in AutoCAD, PVSyst, Spreadsheets

Strong communication skills in English and Arabic

Ability to learn quickly and work under pressure independently or in a team

Highly organized and detail-oriented

آلية التقديم

Interested candidates are requested to submit the following by email to designer.hr@3k.ps no later than 08/09/2022:

  • Cover Letter & CV
  • Full design package of a 50-100kWp net-metering rooftop PV system, in PDF format, for any building of their choosing in Palestine, using FIMER inverters and any top 10 PV module brands.
    • Layout drawings
    • SLDs
    • Electrical panel designs
    • Cable sizing calculations
    • Grounding system design
    • Mounting structure drawings
    • PVSyst simulations (detailed loss calculations)
  • Photos of the site and any details needed to evaluate the design (e.g GPS coordinates)

Applications missing any of the above documents will not be evaluated. Applications will be evaluated on the following:

  • Ability to deliver high quality designs independently
  • Attention to detail
  • Presentation and organization of submitted documents
  • Knowledge of PV design principles

Shortlisted applicants will be requested for an interview.
