It also endeavors to prevent suffering by promoting and strengthening humanitarian law and universal humanitarian principles.

The ICRC Mission in Jerusalem, is seeking qualified and motivated candidate to fill in the following position: 

HUMAN RESOURCE ASSISTANT 2

Place of Employment :  Jerusalem

Contract duration :  1 year – fixed term (renewable)

Activity rate :  100% 

Starting Date             :  01 December 2022

Functional Responsibilities

  • Provides general administrative support (updating staff files and contracts, handling relevant correspondence, filing, archiving, etc.)
  • Assists the department in recruitment and training activities
  • Keeps employee data and information updated at all times 
  • Is responsible of the complete payroll process in Jerusalem
  • Carries out procedures related to local HR practice, taxes, social security and pension.
  • Assist the department in various staff training procedures including registration and follow up.
  • Organizes and conducts in-house training when relevant
  • Prepares for the department’s meetings and drafts minutes of meetings
  • Maintains quality service by following the organization standards

Education & Professional Experience

Key Competencies and Skills

    • University degree and /or a professional diploma in human resources
    • Very Good command (written and spoken) of English and Hebrew
    • Computer literate, with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
    • Experienced with the HRIS and payroll tools
    • 4 -5 years' experience
  • Valid Driving License
    • Adheres to the Human Resource ethics 
    • Is knowledgeable of Israeli Labour Law and Payroll system
    • Responsible, motivated and team player
    • Appreciates a Diverse culture and can adapt to change
    • Good verbal and written communication skills
    • Presentation skills  
  • Accurate and Attentive to details

DAI : Senior HR Associate

Job Title/Grade:     Senior HR Associate – Project HR
Reports to: Senior Manager, Project HR     
Department: Global Workforce – Human Resources (US)  
Work Location:    Ramallah, Palestine
Date: August 15, 2022             


DAI is seeking to hire  a Local Senior HR Associate based in Ramallah , the Senior HR Associate will provide administrative support to the DAI  Project HR team on a wide range of projects and activities to increase the overall effectiveness of the Project HR function. This position will be based in Ramallah with possible travel to projects around the world as needed.
 
Function of the Team:
The Project HR team is part of the U.S. based Human Resources team. Project HR provides consultative HR services to projects around the world implemented by DAI’s U.S. based business units. These services include employee relations assistance, general advice on employment mechanisms, country compensation plans (CCPs), and HR operations and procuredures. The Project HR team collaborates closely with the other HR teams, project management teams, and business development teams. 
 
Roles and Responsibilities:
 
Project HR Support
  • Provide administrative, logistical and other support for Project HR special projects.
  • Coordinate with project and new business teams on their Country Compensation Plan (CCP) needs and due dates. Assist Project HR managers in CCP development. 
  • Monitor and update CCP tracker, HR CCP folders and Country Resources SharePoint page to ensure most up-to-date information is posted.
  • Review, process or draft a variety of employment action letters such as demobilization letters, RCE/Benching letters, and secondment/offer letters.
  • Schedule and coordinate new employee orientation for expatriate and third-country national employees working on projects.
  • Conduct research on a variety of topics such as country labor laws, global market salary data, USG employment compliance, USAID regulations, etc.
  • Update and maintain Project HR SharePoint page and department electronic filing system.
  • Serve as a back-up contact person in the absence of Project HR team members. 
  • Create and coordinate an intake process for employee questions. 
  • Collaborate and liaise with team members across the HR department and other business units.
General HR Support
  • Process IT Support requests for approval for access to individual email inboxes and group email inboxes.
  • Respond to requests for visa-related employment verifications and candidate eligibility for rehire.
  • Update weekly employment tracker and other departmental trackers.
  • Support the development of Standard Operating Procedures, PowerPoint presentations, and other departmental documents.  
  • As requested, place orders for compensation surveys and/or other HR resources, and ensure that corresponding invoices are processed for payment in a timely manner.
  • As needed or requested, provide administrative support to other members of the US based human resources team.
 
Additional responsibilities as deemed necessary.

Qualifications:
 
Minimum Qualifications: 
 
P3: Minimum of 3 years of professional experience and a bachelor’s degree. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
  • Good written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex or technical information clearly, and tailor communication style to diverse audiences.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
  • Able and willing to travel to any country where DAI currently operates or may wish to operate barring times when DAI Global Security has deemed travel unsafe.
  • Willing and able to adjust work schedule, if needed to support teams located in different time zones/countries.Must be self-directed with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Impeccable customer service orientation.
  • Excellent organizational skills, able to priorize a large volume of assignments with changing and/or competing deadlines. 
  • Able to be a problem solver, with demonstrated experience defining problems and offering solutions.
  • Able to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Able to work as part of a decentralized team with minimal oversight.

  • Able to build and maintain good working relationships with staff at all levels of the organization and external clients from diverse backgrounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • General understanding of HR in an international context.
  • General understanding of HR in a U.S. Government contracting context.
  • Prior experience working with databases and HRISs to manage information.
  • Prior experience coordinating activities that require input from a variety of sources.
  • Professional proficiency in a second language (Spanish, Arabic and/or French preferred).
