Job Overview
The national campaign for saving cancer patients was launched two years ago by Towards Peace and Hope Association to improve the services provided to cancer patients in the Gaza Strip. The campaign includes several types of interventions that aim mainly to develop a therapeutic system for cancer patients in the Gaza Strip and improve the quality of services and enhance access to those services by patients. In March 2022, the campaign launched the Salamatak Fund initiative, a national fund that will depend on different sources of donations replicating other Arabic countries’ successful experiences in this field. Therefore, Towards Peace and Hope Association (TPHA) is hiring an experienced Communications Officer to help them to disseminate and promote Salamtek Fund using the different digital and media tools. Responsibilities for Communications Officer
- Work with Salamtak fund commission members to conceptualise and develop a communication strategy and plan for the Salamtak fund
- Ensure and track the sound implementation of the communication strategy and plan for the Salamtak fund
- Develop, write and edit marketing and communications materials, including press releases, blog posts and social media content related to the Salamtak Fund
- Promote communications and marketing materials through appropriate social channels for Salamtak Fund
- Track analytics and create reports detailing successes and failures of communications campaigns related to the Salamtak Fund
- Ensure that all communications and marketing material aligns with brand standards for Salamtak Fund
- Maintain digital media archives, including photos and videos
- Manages contracts and relationships with vendors and business partners that will be part of implementing the communication plan of the Salamtak fund
- Project management of specific communication activities.
- Any other tasks related to their area of work as requested
- Manage, feed and enrich the social media platforms and tools of the campaign and ensure appropriate communication with followers and audiences

Qualifications for Communications Officer
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business, Marketing, English, Journalism or a related discipline.
- 2+ years prior experience in communication or marketing role. Fresh graduates with voluntary experience can be considered
- Understand the best practices of leading social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, etc
- Must possess exceptional writing skills and be able to compose engaging and accurate content
- Strong communicator who works well independently and with a team
- Superior time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator is an asset
- Understanding of communications, public relations and marketing best practices
- Ability to think strategically and identify ways to improve communication efforts
- Must be resourceful and take the initiative even when given minimal direction
