Position: Project Coordinator
Location: Ramallah
Contract: 9 Months / Full-Time
Shiam-Youth Make the Future is a Palestinian locally registered non-governmental, non-profit organization that aims to spread the principles of good citizenry, human values, gender equality and mainstreaming, democracy and good governance among Palestinian youth.
Within the partnership between Shiam and Catholic Relief Services (CRS) and the Family Health International (FHI 360), within the framework of the Civic and Community Participation Project (CPCE) which is funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Shiam is currently implementing “Engage Youth Centers in Designing Environmental Initiatives to Sustain their Local Community” Project.
Shiam is seeking a qualified candidate to join the team and fill in the following vacant position:
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining and monitoring project plans, project schedules, and budgets.
- Organizing, attending and participating in stakeholder meetings.
- Documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings.
- Preparing necessary presentation materials for meetings.
- Ensuring project deadlines are met.
- Ensuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately.
- Assess project risks and provide solutions where applicable.
- Facilitate meetings where appropriate and distribute minutes to all project team members.
- Taking lead in contacting project participants, partner organizations, and official and non-official parties relevant to the project
- Work in coherence and collaboratively with the project team including the trainers involved in the project
- Attend field workshops, trainings, and site visits.
- Willingness to think outside of the box and problem solve when unique issues arise
- Undertaking project tasks as required.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Development, Social sciences and Humanities, or any other relevant field
- Minimum of two years’ experience in the field;
- Demonstrated skills in innovative program development
- Experience working with youth in marginalized communities
- Demonstrate understanding of youth issues in the context of Palestine
- Good experience in data gathering techniques and presentation,
- Excellent command of computer programs: Word, Excel, Power Point;
- Ability to work with people at all levels and in a multicultural environment
- Demonstrated experience in successfully translating data and findings into activity recommendations;
- Full professional proficiency in spoken and written both in English and Arabic;
- Knowledge/Experience with USAID rules and regulations strongly preferred.
